In Cicle Inicial we are learning about clothes. Here you have some games, a video, a story and a song to practise the vocabulary. Enjoy yourself!

VIDEO: "Dressing myself" Watch Megan make a special hat.

 

STORY: "My favourite clothes". The boy in this story is sad when he finds that his favourite clothes don't fit him any more. What can his mum do with them? Listen to this story and find out.

 SONG: "Don't put your trousers on your head, Fred!" Find out what can go wrong when you get dressed.

 GAME: "Winter clothes". Here is a picture of an ice skater. She's wearing warm clothes because it's cold. Can you colour her clothes? Read or listen to the instructions.

 

GAME: "Teddy dresser". Here is a teddy. He needs some clothes. Can you find the right clothes for him? Practise words for clothes in this game.

 GAME: "Clothes". You don't wear your trousers on your head, but where do you wear them? Paint the words to put them in the right groups.

Soil and Compost

 Soil and Compost

Thanks to Teresa from Mas Maiensa for this super fun mixing idea!!!

A few weeks ago, the 5th graders helped us mix the soil and compost that we need for the vegetable garden.  The compost we make has lots of organic material to feed the plants the vitamins they need and its high fiber content helps retain moisture. The soil gives the structure and minerals that the plants need.

Winter Market

Last Friday the second grade class picked our big crop of lettuce.

 They prepared the lettuce in nice baskets.

The sixth graders sold the lettuces at the entrance of the school.

We harvested the fava beans in the garden. We took them to Carmen in the kitchen.
